MarineLabs’ Data Predicts Force of Hurricane Fiona on East Coast

In an interview with Global News and Kylie Stanton, MarineLabs Director of Software Engineering, Michael Fischer, discusses wind and wave data measured by MarineLabs buoys from Hurricane Fiona passing the Atlantic Ocean, and how it can help plan for coastal resilience. Extreme wind and wave data measured at their buoys in the Atlantic Ocean over the weekend showed winds at 135 km/hour and a maximum wave height of 10 metres.⁠
